MP3 Lee Noble - Works for Clarinet & Piano

These 2 works are in a similar vein to my symphony cd but, I think are more interesting and varied.

7 MP3 Songs
CLASSICAL: Traditional

Details:
Lee Noble''s interest in music started with song flute lessons in 4th or 5th grade in elementary school. He made attempts at composition while taking harmony lessons from his first good private teacher (which instrument was the clarinet). The music that first inspired him were the "New World" Symphony by A. Dvorak and a piano concerto by W. A. Mozart.
After two piano teachers, Lee met Italo Taranta who was at the old Detroit Conservatory of Music. It started with piano instruction and after that, you might say "the world of music was opened up to him". Before Lee went to U. of M. (music composition and theory, 1958-1960) and Wayne State U. (music education, liberal arts, B.M. degree in Clarinet, 1960-1966), he had, from Taranta (besides piano), composition, music history, music theory, harmony, ear training and counterpoint. Mr. Taranta, himself, studied with Nadia Boulanger at the Paris Conservatory. Unless you were in music, you wouldn''t know that this Nadia Boulanger had a great reputation and tutored composers such as Aaron Copland and Igor Stravinsky, It was around his high school years (1954-1957) that Lee started with Italo. To sum it up, Taranta was actually the greatest overall influence musically, and there was a great personal relationship between them also. He (Mr. Taranta) said that Lee has "a unique talent."
Lee actually has composed 69 works to far, including piano works, chamber music, 2 concert band numbers and 2 symphonies. He has a degree from Wayne State U. (Detroit, Mi.) in 1966 and transferred form U. of M. (Ann Arbor, Mi.) to Wayne in 1960. His main instruments are clarinet and piano.
