Voted Best New Rock Band by 10 million surveyed on-line listeners, Friday''s Child has continued to defy any boundary or category in the music business as a whole. Tom Walker, frontman for the band, put himself and Friday''s Child on the map through a continuous seven-year tour of clubs, colleges and in-store performances at Borders Books and Music Stores all over the country.

In 2002, Tom founded an Indie Music Festival called The Honeybee Buzz. Using alternative marketing techniques and booking only the best live bands on the circuit, The Buzz continues to sell out clubs all over the country.
Tom innovated the use of in-store appearances and direct distribution through Borders Stores to market his music right to the public. Friday''s Child became that chain’s most popular and best-selling in-store attraction. Tom’s savvy guerilla marketing techniques led Friday''s Child to be featured in the best-selling book, "The Real Deal: How to Get Signed to a Record Label," by Dayle Deanna Schwartz.

Friday''s Child is currently partnered Bayside 33rd Street Records for physical CD distribution and promotions and https://www.tradebit.com for digital downloading of its titles.

The band did a smoking show at the Florida Music Festival and was written up on the front page of the music section of the Orlando Sentinel on May 20, 2005. The article was glowingly written by Jim Abbott.

Friday''s Child proudly endorses Taylor Acoustic Guitars, Ibanez Basses, DR Strings, Sonor Drums, Ameritage Cases, Audix and Studio Projects Mics, Sabian Cymbals, Vic Firth Sticks. LR Baggs Acoustic Pickups, and Rhythmtech Percussion.

Friday''s Child launched its national The Digital Café Tour (DCT) â„¢ of café music stores in support of "In a Word" the this past September 2005. The tour supported the pre-release of the album. The NJ Borders stores were packed. As a result, the band is moving its in-store tour to the prestigious Tower Records stores (the retail arm of 33rd Street Records, Friday''s Child''s distributor).

In conjunction with Brian Jude of Dragon Rider Productions, the band recorded a live DVD called "Live at Luna." The marketing edit of the footage was so powerful that the band was asked to host 36 Indie Music nights there at 2006. As a result https://www.tradebit.com was born. It takes the success of the Friday''s Child in-store tour and brings it to broadband via its own, dedicated venue, Luna Stage. I

In addition, the band has embarked on an instructional DIY Indie DVD series with Audix Microphones, to be debuted at Winter NAMM 2006. The series includes technical interviews of Audix''s experts intercut with live concert footage and ties into the DCT promotion.

The The Digital Café Tour (DCT) â„¢ functions as a collective of Indie bands spearheaded by Friday''s Child''s guerrila marketing machine. The band has shifted focus to capturing select shows and beaming them out to millions of broadband and Podcasting audiences. The focus of the 2006 wide release of "In a Word" will concurrently be geared toward digital downloading communities.
