Details:
Crash Four is an eclectic acoustic rock band.

They blend violin and blues guitar into a rhythmic acoustic groove.

They love what they do and it shows in their music and performances.

Biography:

Crash Four was formed in early 1998 by Jake Ransom, Kelly Martin, Becca Gourley, and Harley Wright.

They were joined later that year by Steve Poole, who had played in the band, Udecide, with Jake and Kelly when they attended high school together.

Crash Four''s music is described as eclectic, acoustic folk-rock.

Jake Ransom (bass, vocals) and Kelly Martin (rhythm guitar, vocals) write the band lyrics and compose the original music.

Anna Rydman (violin, vocals), Harley Wright (drums, percussion) and Steve Poole (lead & rhythm guitar, mandolin) each add their unique contributions to the compositions and the final songs evolve.

Their influences range from Stevie Ray Vaughan to Toad the Wet Sprocket to the Dave Matthews Band.

Three of the five members currently attend Boise State University.

Crash Four released their first studio album ...five small steps in 1999.

In the last two years, they were voted Boise''s best rock band and one of the best alternative bands and original bands.

They also had the pleasure of opening for bands such as Built To Spill, moe, Calobo, and the Omnious Seapods.

The band plays regularly in Boise clubs and outdoor festivals.

They have also performed in Park City, UT and were honored by being invited to perform at South by South West (SXSW) in Austin, TX, March, 2000.
