Barely after he was able to talk (at the age of five) due to the circumstances of his birth, he started playing chords on the piano by ear. Fast forward to April 18th 2002 that started another chapter in his life when his mother had passed on. Dealing with thatloss as well as other personal tribulations a new man was born. During a four-month span he began writing, producing and recording at a very prolific pace in which he wrote about his pain and anger in a way that he never expected to do. All he needed in the world was a pen and a pad that he authored his thoughts straight from beginning to end in his music. All the dedication and hard work trying to improve his craft had finally come together overnight. During the fall of 2003 he released
his debut album "My Thoughts" On that album he touched
several topics including the situations around his environment. His work expanded from the typical topics in hip-hop in that along with the street anthems such as "Aim For The Sky", "The Mayor", "On The Rise" and "Royal Doctrine", he also bought messages in songs like "Thought My Years", "Spoken Word" and showed his poetic prowess on such songs as "Darkness and the title cut "My Thoughts." After the release of that album Crown P. continued to work on creating great music. The result of two years of recording and improving his sound comes in the form of his second album "African Black." This album shows P''s growth in music with more street anthems such as "Represent (Dedicated to the G''s)", "Prince Is Here", and "Bumbaclot" ; clever songs such as "Get Down" and "Danger Zone" as well as songs that invite the
listener to Crown P''s state of mind such as "Shall Prevail" and "Transitions." This new album once again shows the genius of this young man that he is truly an artist.
