Details:
German quartet 4LYN has been kicking up a lot of dust since their formation sometime around the beginning of the 21st century. Their four, well-received albums have all charted and they have released a steady stream of successful singles. The band has toured relentlessly all across Europe in support of top acts such as Papa Roach, Thumb and Therapy, and more. In July 2006 in the exotic setting of Istanbul, Turkey, they were the sole openers for Guns N'' Roses, and raised the roof with a rockin'' performance in front of 15,000 appreciative fans.

Their six music videos have been played regularly on channels like MTV Europe, VIVA, VIVA Plus, NBC GIGA and many more. They''ve appeared often on European television, including shows like MTV Select and “Top of the Pops." The band contributed the song “Me vs. Me” to the top action movie of 2002, the Vin Diesel vehicle “XXX” (“Triple X”). Their tune “Kisses of a Strobelight” was chosen for a worldwide television campaign by French auto manufacturer, Renault. Sega hand-picked the band to do the music for their popular “Sega Soccer Slam” video game. And as if all this wasn''t enough, the band also composed the theme song, “Go, Sea Devils” for their local NFL Europe squad, the Hamburg Sea Devils, and performed at halftime during several of their games. Could it also be a coincidence that the Sea Devils won the World Bowl this year? We think not!

That''s a pretty impressive resume for a young band. Now, the restless quartet from Hamburg is ready to take things to the next level with their fifth studio album “Hello." Released in January 2008, this new album is chock full with fist-pumping guitar power and sing-along choruses. “Hello″ is a quantum leap forward for the talented group of four. “This record is about four young guys with many stories to tell," explains 4LYN frontman Ron Cazzato. ''Hello'' reflects our many experiences over the past few years. Maybe differently from some of our previous albums, this record hits full stride after just a few seconds. So if you''ve never heard of 4LYN before, this is the perfect opportunity to check us out. We''ve developed as a band and so has our music-but with no detrimental side-effects. This band has kept us young and you will notice this by the first song, even if the subject matter is different from our first four albums.”

Back in April 2007, 4LYN journeyed overseas to Los Angeles for the third annual MUSEXPO music, media and technology conference. Once there, they wowed a crowd of international tastemakers assembled at the Key Club on the legendary Sunset Strip with a selection of songs from "Hello." Before the showcase, the band was featured on a special four-hour edition of the internationally syndicated radio show “Passport Approved” on renowned “Indie 103.1” in Los Angeles. Later that very same day, the band jaunted over to https://www.tradebit.com to perform a special one-hour gig. A state-of-the-art production crew filmed their set at the popular rehearsal facility, which has hosted acts as diverse as John Mellencamp, Hoobastank and the Pussycat Dolls, among many others.

“Playing in the States is a great opportunity for a European band. But most bands are way too nervous and uptight about rockin'' out in front of an American crowd," observes Ron. “We''ve always kept that in the back of our minds, determined not to make the same mistake-and we were proven right. We came, we played the way we always play and, in the end, everyone was convinced. Our band has a very energetic stage presence and the audience definitely noticed this. American radio and other institutions such as https://www.tradebit.com accepted us with open arms and seemed to be really impressed. After returning back home we''ve had an amazing response from our new American fans-hundreds of kids have added 4LYN songs to their MySpace profiles. Well, good music knows no boundaries.″

The music seems to know no cultural boundaries either. 4LYN was recently invited by the Goethe Institut to represent German culture in China, where they were met by 10,000 eager fans who not only sang along boisterously (even though no 4LYN albums had been released there), they also greeted them with the special 4LYN salute-a goose-bump experience for the band!

A video for “Nostalgia”-the first video to be released from "Hello"-is already on the playlist for the International Music Feed (IMF), which reaches over 10 million subscribers in the U.S. through the satellite-television provider Dish Network. IMF is the first 24-hour music channel to combine the best American music with other bands from around the world. For more information, visit https://www.tradebit.com (and be sure to check out the 4LYN video biography when you visit!). The video for “Nostalgia” can also be viewed on the group''s web site https://www.tradebit.com as well as on the Rodeostar label web site: https://www.tradebit.com. “Nostalgia” is an anthem for those of us who have lost a loved one in these hectic times″, Ron muses. “Even though I wrote the lyrics, I always feel very melancholic when I hear it. I think the meaning of ′Nostalgia'' will touch many people. The video also perfectly depicts the dark, romantic feeling of this song.″

The band''s brand new video for their first single “Hello (For You I''m Dying)” took them on a sunny journey through the endless deserts of Joshua Tree National Park, California. The band hired four of the world''s best dirt bikers from the adiridas team to join them for the video. The long friendship between bassist Deee and professional biker Niels Peter Jensen paved the way for this terrific collaboration.
The fantastic footage-shot at the “Terminator 3” and other sets-combines sweaty band performances with breathtaking bike stunts. Singer Ron explains, “You know, a big song needs a big video and ‘Hello (For You I''m Dying)'' just happens to be a very big song.“

Now that the album “Hello” has already been released in Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden and Switzerland, 4LYN is set to conquer the rest of Europe, starting with France, where fans are anxiously awaiting them. In fall 2008, the album will be released in the US (via Megaforce) and Japan before hitting shops in Eastern Europe.

After a line-up change, 4LYN is getting ready for their next phase. Guitarist Dennis Krueger has now joined the 4LYN roster to replace Rene Knupper, who has chosen to withdraw from the world of rock''n''roll for reasons of health and family. “Dennis is simply the best man for the job,” explains Ron. “We tried out quite a few guitarists but Dennis was the best of the bunch. He''s an outstanding guitarist, he''s highly talented and motivated, and he''s the perfect match for the band. He''s already played his first shows with us and he''s simply fantastic.” Dennis has been writing and producing his own songs for several years now, and we are very excited about adding his creative input to our songwriting.

Things are looking forward for 4LYN. After gigs at various festivals in their native Germany, an extended tour of Europe (Poland, England, Holland, Spain) and their spectacular appearance in China, this band is on a roll. In the upcoming months, the band will be doing around 100 live shows in many locations including Scandinavia, where audiences are keen to see the powerful quartet. Their final stop will be on 15 November in the Hamburger Docks where camera teams will be waiting to capture this concert in the finest quality so that it can be available as a DVD early in 2009.

Fans who can not wait any longer should keep their eyes open this fall when 4LYN releases their first comprehensive Home Double DVD. In addition to all of the videos and thrilling scenes on, below and behind the stage, this DVD will present the entire history of 4LYN-that''s ten years of non-stop rockin'' with their fans and for their fans! Currently, the members of 4LYN-all of whom have experience in video editing-will be working their way through approximately 100 tapes filled with exquisite film material. This is sure to be a highlight for their fans.

The prospects for 2009 are looking rosy indeed. In January 2009, 4LYN will join Norwegians The Cumshots for another tour before packing their suitcases again in spring and traveling to Asia for the second time, this time with stops in Japan (with Insolence), China, Taiwan, Thailand and South Korea. “The next tours will be the most exciting things that we''ve ever done,” Ron explains keenly. “Not just for the band but also for the fans and especially for people out there who have yet to hear 4LYN. We''ve just done a great album and we can hardly wait to present it everywhere around the world.”

All 4LYN fans eager to experience the band live within the confines of their own home should make their way to one of the upcoming gigs. A live concert recording from Ubel & Gefahrlich in Hamburg captured in February 2008 can only be purchased at shows (and at the Rodeostar online shop). This concert was recorded on a multi-track system in high quality. 4LYN has sold many thousand copies of this CD at their merchandising stands and these CDs are highly cherished by the band''s fans.
