Cashis Clay is originally from Oxnard, CA. He first started writing when he was in Junior High School. When he went to High School, he joined a rap group called “Higher Class.” Higher Class preformed in the Underground Superfest, did radio spots and won talent shows.

As Cashis went to College he continued to rap, but as a solo artist. He then met Wizz with Gutter Slum Productions. Wizz taught Cashis how to produce and engineer. They worked hard together to produce Cashis’s first album. Soon after, Cashis and Wizz met up with two artists - Shawn Penn and 1-9. They formed a rap group called Tri-S. Tri-S preformed in Los Angeles school fund raiser events and they preformed in Big Bear and Los Angeles Clubs. Tri-S drifted apart after time. They are no longer recording together, although Cashis and Wizz are still working on projects together.

Cashis Clay decided to go to the Los Angeles Recording Workshop to work on his music education in 2003. He graduated March 15, 2004 with completing 900 hours of Recording Engineer Program. As an intern he produced and edited music for the Eve Show at the UPN Channel 13 Station.

After graduating from his school, Cashis worked with Ayaic Records. Cashis was in Master Engineer Training for the Hip Hop department. He mixed, edited and mastered music for Cypress Hill, along with underground groups.

Cashis Clay then met Kelly McCartney with Dollhouse Productions. Cashis recorded two songs with Kelly. The first song he recorded was “Action.” Action was on the soundtrack of “Hot Wheels the Movie, Part 2.” The second song he recorded was “Accelerate.” Accelerate was on the soundtrack of “Hot Wheels the Movie, Part 3.” Cashis and Kelly are currently working on a project with the NBA as well as a solo album.

Cashis then met Rza from the Wu-Tang Clan. He started doing projects with Daddy-O from 36 Chambers (one of Rza’s music studios.). He set up equipment, helped rebuild logic studio, recorded Rza in Rza’s pro – tools studio, and some of Cashis Clay’s production was used for 36 Chamber projects.

Cashis Clay has been selected as on of the artist’s for the Unsigned Hype Contest for The Source Entertainment on-line. The contest has not yet started.

Cashis Clay owns and runs his own music studio in North Hollywood. He received his business license in 2005 for his company, Omega 3 Productions. He is currently working with five groups/artists: Valley of Depth, Mic-o-roni, Kira, Apostil P and Dirty D. Cashis has currently finished his second solo gospel rap album. His first gospel rap album, The book of Syduel, has not yet been heard by the public. But look out for that one. He also has another gospel rap album with his business partner, Apostle P, called The Israelites. This one is hot! It will be coming out soon, so keep an eye out for the new element of rap. He also has an underground secular mix album called Cali Harvest Volume 1. Artists are featuring Alize, 1-9, Shawn Penn, Karina and Monica.

Over the past three years Cashis has been working hard to maintain his music career. He still has projects pending with Gutter Slumm Productions, Dollhouse Productions, 36 Chambers, and Ayaic Records.
