Details:
I was born and raised in L.A., the only girl of five children. At three years of age I was singing harmony, a gift from above. At five I started studying classical piano with a strict but colorful teacher named Pilar Teague whose voice I can still hear in my sleep.

My mother, a native New Yorker, would sing around the house daily giving all five of us a great love for music. My father, a native of New Mexico would put on Al Martino’s record, Daddy’s Little Girl and dance with me around our living room; I of course was standing on his toes. Then my mom would enter the room and the two of them would show all five of us what dancing really looked like.

Unfortunately by the time I came along my mom had quit her singing career to raise her family so I never had a chance to see her perform. I am, however, extremely grateful that she was home. Thanks, Mom. She studied at the Eastman School of Music in NY and sang and danced her way to California where she met my father and they married just out of college. My dad became an incredible dentist and I have to say, I have his roots. Thanks, Dad.

Brandolino is my family name. Beautiful, melodic and full of life.

After high school I joined up with a singer named Sheila Fox and played at a local club in Westwood Village. Many of the local gigs I did back in the early eighties included sitting in and harmonizing with friends Kate Markowitz and John Vester, both of whom have remarkable solo careers in writing and performing.

In 1984 I joined a group in O.C called Katz n’ Jammers where I sang and played Key bass. It was a spirited group that played everything from Anita Baker to Peter Gabriel. Following that group I joined an R & B band named Matinee Idol that played all over Orange County. We had a blast with three part harmonies and I still played key bass until, eventually I just sang and sequenced most of the bass and keys. While growing up, I would have to say some of my biggest influences ranged form Ella Fitzgerald to Gladys Knight, Karla Bonoff to Stevie Wonder, all of whom I have enormous respect for. It has only been the last 10 years that I have segued into the standards and jazz songs of the past creating a repertoire that I’m always in the mood to sing. During the nineties I was privileged to meet up with Fernando Ortega, a Christian recording artist, who gave me the opportunity to sing background vocals on most of his albums. Through him I met John Patitucci and I was given the chance to sing on three songs from his Mistura Fina Album. That was an experience I will always treasure.

In 1992 I met the very talented and ingenious John Andrew Schreiner who musically surpasses any one I’ve ever known. His ''other worldly'' style of piano playing and very considerate producing gave me an insight into music I had never seen. So, we married in 1996 and produced something of our own. Two beautiful children named Audrey and Henry who shine brighter than the highest star. Since then I’ve been enjoying raising a family and performing in various night clubs and lounges, Yes, lounges, where people can dance and I can enjoy a small intimate setting allowing me to become familiar with the audience. Currently, I am working at the Island Hotel in Newport Beach every Friday and Saturday from 8-midnight with the James Exchange Trio. We’ve been together for 10 years and are enjoying being a constant in an ever-changing world. I have sung under the names Brandolino and Schreiner. Take your pick, they’re both me and thank you so much for taking the time to read this. I hope you’ll visit me soon wherever I’m working.

Take care and God Bless.
