Cindy Lu was born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey surrounded by music. She listened to Roger Miller''s "King of The Road," Count Basie & His Orchestra, Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streisand, Blood, Sweat & Tears, James Taylor, Carole King and Bonnie Raitt. Cindy Lu''s music was greatly influenced by her faith and her family, and she spent many years singing a variety of music, including classics, oldies, showtunes, gospel and pop.

In 1996, on the advice of a friend, Cindy Lu tuned into a country music radio station. She was instantly hooked! A "country convert" had been born! Cindy Lu started singing country songs and for the first time in her life, she felt as though her voice had "finally found a home." Since that day, Cindy Lu has been singing country cover as well as her own original tunes, and produced a demo CD of her original songs in 1999. She has had the privilege of being showcased at Wolfy''s and Tootsie''s Orchid Lounge in Nashville, TN, and has performed at Legends Corner and Barbara''s, and Wolfy''s Tower Bar in the Gaylord Arena, all in the Downtown District of Nashville. Cindy Lu was a finalist in Froggy 101''s (Wilkes Barre, PA) True Value Jimmy Dean Country Showdown (1999).

In her native region of Sussex County, NJ, she won several talent contests, performed at The New Jersey State Fair, in New York City at Don''t Tell Mama (a nightclub and cabaret theatre), and countless benefits and private bookings. Cindy Lu was both a performer and nominee at the OCA Awards Show (Online Country Awards) in Laughlin, Nevada (October 2000) where she won the "Female Country Newcomer Award."

Her first single, "Keep On Playin'' The Game," was released in February 2001 to radio and internet, and made it to #1 on Indie World Country charts on May 4th, 2001! Cindy Lu performed at the GMA Awards (Golden Music Awards) in Nashville during Fan Fair 2001. Cindy Lu was awarded the "2001 Upcoming Female Country Singer" award from NAR - New Artist Radio. Cindy Lu''s second single, "And Then I Met You," was released June 2001 and made it to #1 on New Artist Radio''s Top 20 Countdown on September 5, 2001 AND #1 on Indie World Country charts on September 21, 2001! Cindy Lu''s third single, "Stop Confusin'' Me," was released on October 19, 2001 and made it to #1 on Indie World Country charts on February 1, 2002.

Cindy Lu''s fourth single, "Every Life Tells A Story", was released on February 22, 2002 and is climbing the Indie charts. Cindy Lu co-hosted and performed at the New Artist Radio Awards Show in Park City, Utah in March of 2002, and was awarded the Country Female Artist of the Year Award for 2002. Cindy Lu''s love of country music has grown and developed, and June of 2002 brings the release of Cindy Lu''s second CD, "A Tribute To The Country Legends."

"From Sussex County, NJ, New York, Utah, Nevada, Nashville and every place in between, performing and singing country music is the best way I can think of to spend my time with great friends, good music, and a whole lot of dancin''! Cindy Lu is honored to be a part of country music and plans to be singing as long as she is breathing.

"Country is a place inside you, not where you live. God gave me the gift of singing, and country music has provided me a home. I''d like to share that gift and to bring a smile to the faces of as many people as I can."
