Details:
Picture yourself in the back of a shiny vintage car, at a small table in a dark smoky bar, or on the porch of a house that time forgot and you will find yourself in the cinematic mind and music of Circe Link.

Circe has had multiple songs charting in the #1 slot in the Americana, Country, Blues and Jazz categories on the award winning music site https://www.tradebit.com for over a year.
Consequently, she was hand picked to be included in the first Clear Channel Independent radio promotion called “Emerging Artists”. And, having been discovered through the online music store https://www.tradebit.com, Circe was approached by an independent Japanese music firm which proposed with an exclusive distribution deal.

Following these successes Circe completed her first tour of Japan. Playing to sold out houses and signing autographs, she won the hearts of radio listeners in Tokyo, Osaka and Hiroshima and is selling records in over 40 stores throughout the country.

Circe’s unique musical vision has carried her into other areas of collaboration. She has established relationships with Los Angeles music supervisors and composers placing her songs and voice in national commercials, film and TV.

Circe was the “Homegrown” Program artist pick of September 2004 at the ever cool and iconic Amoeba Music in Hollywood. She has garnered numerous Awards from online music communities, radio programs and podcasts.

This homespun artist’s initiative has allowed her to create her own market and has attracted devoted fans that now span the globe. As her favorite quote by Benjamin Franklin says “The harder I work the luckier I get.”

Born in San Francisco and raised in Los Angeles
had never written a song before 2001, she had previously dedicated herself to the fine art of painting. But one morning she awoke with her first song “Three Bells” in her head. Later that day she wrote “Oh Lady” and finally cooking over her grandmothers cast iron skillet that night she wrote “Travelin’ Daddy” . Because many of her songs come to her in her dreams she is never at a lack for material, and like a sweater that just keeps unraveling the songs just keep coming. She is currently working on her fourth studio album and will release her first live record in 2006.

Compared to Alison Krauss, Fiona Apple, Norah Jones, Madeleine Peyroux, Patsy Cline, and Sarah Vaughn, Circe’s vocal range goes from smoky torch to white dove-pure, from bar room belter to bittersweet blue. Circe’s music evokes the classic style of traditional Country while traversing through an unusual land of Jazz chord progressions accompanied by the rich and often soulful melodies of the Blues.

Her collaboration with Producer Christian Nesmith on her last three records has managed to create a sound hinting at the spirit of Dan Hicks, Willie Dixon, Bob Wills, and Hank Williams.
Working with a myriad of A- List Los Angeles session players she has put together an outstanding accompaniment for her diverse forms of song writing - creating a sound that is both familiar and interesting, dynamic and intuitive that rarely disappoints a listener.

So, like a sparking train unstoppable she bullets down the track, like a slip of smoke she drifts above the night of ever black. Image and sound, laughter and tears Circe Link creates a world of music, a movie-scape of heart and song you will surely remember.
