Details:
Jacob''s Road is a duo out of Nasvhille, Tennessee who is passionate about sharing God''s real and all consuming love with anyone who''ll listen. They also happen to be crazy about rock music... "the journey," their debut cd, is a combination of both. With slammin'' guitars and solid grooves, some people find it hard to believe that this record is all about God--a notion that Mark & Carrie Robey find amusing.

"Our music is about what we believe, and how what we believe makes a difference in our walk through life. We''re certainly not ashamed to stand up and talk about how much we''ve been transformed through Jesus-the fact that we do that with loud guitars just makes it more fun to listen to. It''s what you''d hear on any rock radio station-just with different lyrics. This music is something that people can identify with, and hopefully it will make someone seek out God in a new way."

Jacob''s Road began in March of 2003, and since then, the road has been a little bit of a jet ride. From North Dekota to South Carolina and everywhere in between, j-road has been amazed at the number of people who are jumping on board the journey with them! The first song they wrote, "I See You," is now being played on Christian AND secular radio in several states, and the interest in their debut release, "the journey" has been extremely high.

The record stands on it''s own. Some of Nashville''s finest gave of their time and talents to make this project the best that it could be, and it shows. From the aching, passionate prayer of "I Choose Trust," to the grinding guitar riffs in "Chris''s Song," to the tongue in cheek ''70''s throwback song concerning sin of "You Ugly"-there isn''t a single song on this cd that you want to skip over.

As for what Jacob''s Road thinks of this rapidly moving ride? "Who knows where we''re headed next? We''re all totally cool with not knowing the complete answer to that... as long as we keep God at the wheel, we''re safe and ready to go!"

"When I got this CD in the mail and popped it in my stereo what I heard was amazing. This band is destined to go as far as they want with their great https://www.tradebit.comir music is a unique mix of rock, both modern and old fashioned styles, intermixed with elements of folk rock and touches of modern worship, all that together forms an invigorating and unique sound. This is a band that has their heads on straight and have a good strong message. With their sound they will be able to appeal to listeners both young and old, saved and unsaved both equally. The song''s lyrics are also very powerful and honest in there approach....If you haven''t figured it out yet I really like this CD, a lot! I would definitely highly recommend you get a copy for yourself, one for your friends, one for your neighbor.... Neither you or any of them will be disappointed." --C.W. "The new CD ''The Journey'' is fabulous and might just capture a big audience if promoted well. And it will be as (jacob''s road) has just hooked up with Nashville publicity group to handle their promotion. My first impression of the CD is that it''s very solid with enchanting and passionate lyrics. It is obvious that these two young people have a passion for their creator which is expressed through their music in great detail." https://www.tradebit.com

"This is an interesting indie project by a duo--a guy and gal who share a penchant for rock sounds and ministry. ''The Journey'' is a project that offers fresh and clever sounds like "Run Away" with fiery guitar and effects that in places feel like ATF meets RANDALL WALLER meets N MERCHANT. The overall sense is uncommercial, independent, and it displays good doses of creativity. Vocals, playing, and even song-writing prove to be quite solid. I liked the variety of rock sounds and influences. It has a clear spiritual feel that will entice even unbelievers. It certainly isn''t a ''praise'' record. No, this is intelligent music.... The ultimate mixed [co-ed] duo THE EURYTHMICS showed the world two can make music with a big feel and a small budget. JACOB''S ROAD makes it work and presented one of the more listenable albums from the indie area. They are so solid that they are bound to get noticed by a large label. Best bets are "I See You", "Chris''s Song", "Nothing" [esp. for CCM formats]. Recommended." --The Critical Review
