Jane was a popular fixture on LA’s songwriter circuit back in the early 90’s, as she mastered her uniquely passionate pop/folk sound, and was featured in industry showcases such as the National Academy of Songwriters Showcase, the Western Beat American Music Showcase, and Los Angeles Songwriters Showcase. In 1996, she migrated to Nashville where she honed her craft, gracing the stage of the famed Bluebird Café, as well as other Nashville songwriter haunts. Next Jane returned to her home state of Connecticut, where she continued to evolve as a performer and writer. With her recent return to Los Angeles, Jane resumes her place in the LA songwriting community and continues her artistic odyssey.
The LA Weekly has described Jane Bolduc as a performer “with a voice like a prairie tornado”. She stirs her audience with an urgency and vitality embodied in her voice, her performance and her songwriting. Jane has won awards for her vocal and writing talents, including songwriting competitions sponsored by Wildflower Music Festival, Berklee College of Music, the Virginia Organization of Composers & Lyricists, and The Portland Songwriter’s Association, as well as being selected as Best Female Vocalist at the Talent America competition in New York City.
Jane is currently at work on a full-length studio recording, but in the meantime you can hear this insightful, compelling songwriter/chanteuse on a 5-track EP, THE BABY JANE SESSIONS, which is available here, as is HOUSE BLEND, a compilation of live solo acoustic performances recorded at acoustic venues in and around Los Angeles.
