Growing up I always felt in me an inclination to perform in a style that I could not find anywhere else. I was often unsatisfied with the music I was exposed to feeling that it could have been structured differently, maybe a little more random or less repetitive. Later I was exposed to the likes of John Cage, Edgar Varese and Frank Zappa which became a little more satisfying for me. Still I had this inclination in me to do something that sounded very different. This album, The Theme is Trapezoid is the result of my growing years trying to achieve my style of performing in an impromptu fashion. I do not compose the music because I feel that the music should be a part of my current mood and the environment, so that each song is reflective of when and where it was performed and that it represents a particular mood that I was in.
It is a rare occasion that I am in any kind of mood of creating music. So far I have completed two albums, the first one titled Lemon Sublime. I suffer from depression and that makes it impossible to perform something that is representative of my style. When I am in the right mood, the music just flows right out of me as if the music is the wind and I am the sail.
