Why would you like the album "Holding It Down"? I''m glad you asked. The album is fresh and blazin'' hot. It''s like a gift to the music industry. Its approach is rare yet *Jamin gets the job done with no complaints. He''s a warrior and definitely "holding it down". His songs are a mixture of party and militant-minded as well as conscience; ''talk about a ride! "Holding It Down" is the thrill hill of the rap game. It covers an array of topics yet it is sweet and succinct. Songs like, "That''s What''s Up" and "Down4Me" deals with his experiences with females, while "Freeze" and "Stay Strong" challenges rappers and the mind-set of mainstream society. To some people *Jamin''s persona might be interpreted as "laid-back" but he likes to think that he can stand up like a soldier when he has to. For *Jamin "Holding It Down" is the reflections of a young person trying to hold their own and do something constructive with their life while aspiring to be a leader and example to their community. However, sometimes things are just not that simple in the hood.
Keep in mind that "Holding It Down" represents the future for *Jamin and Allgood records. A future that we believe to have endless possibilities and opportunities if we remember the motivation and support that has brought us this far.
