Starting in 1993 he began singing in Punk bands, doing Spoken Word Events, which led to a love of performing, sharpened spontaneity, and paid speaking engagements for California Colleges, Universities,
Activist Groups, and City Halls / Mayors. Jehuniko''s unorthodox style of singing and flowing made him stand out at every event. Maybe it was the varying masks that made people wonder about the one called Jehuniko who howled at the moon.
In 2001, after a career changing introduction to Kemo, of Delinquent Habits, Jehuniko began recording and performing in Los Angeles. 2003 and 2004 were exciting years with a European tour with Delinquent Habits. He was featured on 2 songs on Kemo the Blaxican''s lp Simple Plan on Dead Silence Records.
On MUN2 the Roof, Jehuniko was featured twice with interviews, a live performance and a video premiere.
Also on Mun2, their show la Conexion allowed Jehuniko
the platform to speak about life, world politics, and music. SITV''s the Drop saw 2 performances on their stage,
and LATV saw 2 performances alongside Kemo.
On Nationally Syndicated "Urban Latino, J was interviewed
Up in Canada, the National Canadian Arts Council chose a song from Jehuniko to feature on their Event CD for their annual art & music festival .
In Costa Rica, he went on a promotional tour making stops at National Television shows UTV, and PM Latino doing live performances and interviews, and premiering a video that was shot in Costa Rica. At the end of the tour, Jehuniko headlined a sold out show there in the capital, San Jose.
Next stop was the Latin Alternative Music Conference in Los Angeles where J performed alongside Kemo the Blaxican.
At the 1st Annual Latin Rap Conference, we performed as well.
2005, J did many shows with wife, Binx and brought a headlining performance in Mexicali, Mexico at the Government sponsored Mexican Hip Hop Festival.
Jehuniko has performed with Mack 10,HR of Bad Brains, the Coup with his crew Almas Intocables, and did many other shows in Mexico, Texas, and all over the state of California.
2006 so far has seen 2 visits to Costa Rica, which coincided
with the release of "la pura vida"
Jehuniko''s debut solo record on Dead Silence Records.
.Aside from doing shows, and various media outlets, they filmed the video for the single,
"El Animal Humano" which was shot in Costa Rica and also the video for " time traveler."
The future glimmers with positive energy, as the Messenger of Sound
brings water to the drought, offering nutrition and a soundtrack for the musical revolution.
Jehuniko recognizes the importance of the unification of all people everywhere
and empowering Latinos with the Information Revolution
