in Harms way is made up of a group of friends who have been playing music together for almost 20 years. After playing the bar circuit in the 80''s under several names, everyone decided to get married, have children, etc. You know, grow up. After a few years of inactivity, we decided we needed some sort of creative outlet.
We decided to buy an 8 track tape machine and try our hand at writing. We put a band together and recorded 2 full length cassette releases (Blue Pozee - A Work Day in the Life, and in Harms way - Johnny Get Your Gun. About this time, the band started to evolve and a member or two were added and subtracted. The biggest difference after the changes in the band were that we started writing songs as a group instead of as individuals. this gave us a more cohesive sound. We then recorded our first CD entitled "Cheaper than Therapy". The followup was entitled "Alligator Necklace". This is where our Mardi Gras, New Orleans kind of sound was starting to evolve. Midway through our next release "It''s All About Her", we purchased a 16 track digital machine and really started to add to our sound. We also did a few live gigs in our area to see if anyone was listening to our music. In 2004, we release our next CD entitled "This Match Strikes Anywhere". There are several styles of music on the disc. Give it a listen and see what you think. In the summer of 2004, on the strength of this CD, we were able to support national recording artists "The Spin Doctors". Since that time, the singer A.J. Fritz has left the band and is doing acoustic solo shows. We wish him well. We have replaced him with a new singer, Mike Migliozzi and a slightly different sound. Our next CD, "Jupiter by the Moon", is ready to be mastered and we hope to have it out in the summer of 2006
