''At the Command of the Blanket Sky'' is Vacuity''s second full-length album, it was released in 2008. Half of the record was recorded at a house the band lived in together, and then completed in various locations. Upon completion of the record several CD release parties were held at both The Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, and the Starlight Lounge in Waterloo. The band embarked on two national tours in support of ''At the Command of the Blanket Sky'', and released the album online through their website as part of a campaign entitled ''Kill the Format''. ''At the Command of the Blanket Sky'' features artwork from Kitchener-Waterloo based abstract artist Nigel Strothard, and had the help of Fontana North manufacturing services in Toronto, but is an entirely self-produced work.
