When I was 18 years old, I connected my MacPlus to my Korg synthesizer and it allowed me to write entire songs by myself. Since then, I have written hundreds of songs of all genres. The songs back then were basic and relied heavily on studio production. Recently, I actually learned how to really sing (I don''t know what I used to call it, but it wasn''t singing!) and strum an acoustic guitar pretty well. My first CD was just me and my guitar because I didn''t want to let my perfectionism delay me from getting the recording done. And it worked... but it was far from what I wanted to share with the world.
With Vegas Souvenir, I decided I would connect my live talent with my home-studio talent and try to record EVERYTHING that I heard in my head. Even if it took me 2 years to complete! A lot of songs didn''t make it on this album because I got too carried away in the studio or because I couldn''t capture the emotion I wanted in my vocals. But when the dust settled, I ended up with 10 great songs that I am so proud of! I can''t stop listening myself.
