Details:
Directed and guided by Dove Award nominee producer CR Pendleton (John Reuben, Jeff Anderson, House of Heroes, Toby Mac, Relient K), brothers Robbie and Ronnie Lee are storming onto the Atlanta scene, leaving everyone who hears them wanting more. Since the group’s genesis in 2003, House of Thomas has continued to prove themselves in front of audiences and judges alike. In only their second live performance ever, they were presented with the third place award for overall musicianship and vocal abilities at a record label sponsored talent show. Five months later, the group moved the judges once again and took the first place award for best group performance at the North Georgia Gospel Talent Search sponsored by Crown Day Promotions and PHD Studios.

In June 2006, House of Thomas released their first full-length album entitled “Without a Doubt!” produced by CR Pendleton. Throughout this album, House of Thomas features a uniquely pervasive pop-rock sound with diverse influences ranging from The Beatles, Steven Curtis Chapman, Bon Jovi, and U2, to the Newsboys, Collective Soul, Keith Urban, and Third Day. With a combination of flowing guitar riffs and resonating melodies, House of Thomas brings a splash of vibrancy to their music. A review from https://www.tradebit.com describes House of Thomas this way, “…what can I say but WOW! …the guitar work is amazing.”

With their independently released single, “More Than Just Alive” that talks about the importance of not just believing, but proving there is “more than just being alive”, House of Thomas drove a 5 week winning streak on an Atlanta-based top 20 radio station battle of the bands program by popular listener vote. This in turn opened the door for opportunities to perform with such artists as, the Newsboys, Matthew West, David Crowder Band, Stellar Kart, By The Tree, Mat Kearney, and Down Here. With its strong lyrical message inspired by Ronnie and Robbie’s grandfather, the late Rev. Howard Thomas Lee, Sr., “More Than Just Alive” has also been used numerous times as the theme song for sermon messages, radio programs, and more.
The band went on to independently release “The Way We Do” to select radio stations which was quickly voted to #1 on the top 150 song radio chart Indie Heaven (https://www.tradebit.com), one of the largest independent Christian artist resources available. As a result, the song was selected to be included on a nationally distributed radio compilation CD in June 2006. “The Way We Do” also struck a match with radio listeners on when it was included in the nationally syndicated program “Top 5 Live” (https://www.tradebit.com) among such artists as Audio Adrenaline and Sanctus Real.

With a genuine love for Christ, this dynamic rock band truly represents Jesus’ teachings on servanthood and is gaining a tremendous fan base. House of Thomas embodies integrity both on stage through powerful, spirit-led performances, and off stage where their Christian character is reflected in their lives. “They walk with the Lord. They sing for His glory…” is how one dedicated fan described them in a review on Indie Heaven.

As an ordained minister, singer/ songwriter/ guitarist Robbie Lee has been leading and directing youth at his church for over 5 years. He not only brings his audience into soul-stimulating worship through his powerful vocal abilities, but he also connects with students and young adults in a very dynamic way. “They’ve got to know that you care”, says Robbie. “If they feel that you truly understand where they are and care deeply about them, they’ll open their hearts and listen.” Husband and proud father of three young children, Robbie serves as the lighthouse to his family. With inspiring lyrics such as, “Daddy will we ever see them? Oh yes we will, a day when the heavenly host lead us in grace”, in a song Robbie wrote for his wife about the three miscarriages they experienced, “Tiny Hearts” shares a hope that we can rest assured our Heavenly Father holds His children “tighter than we could ever long for”, and that we will see them one day. This song began to get notoriety when Robbie performed a special live acoustic version during a United Way talent competition in November, 2005. The performance was viewed by more than 50,000 people and earned Robbie the second place award by popular vote.

The story began in 1995. Brothers Ronnie and Robbie Lee pieced together an acoustic act to perform country and rock songs for a corporate Christmas party. They later landed a club gig performing weekends throughout the 1996 Summer Olympics under the name of My Brothers’ Band. A responsive crowd influenced the band to add some additional members, encourage lead singer Robbie to ramp up his niche of electric guitar, and continue performing all around Atlanta. By the following year, they were performing at churches, clubs and coffee houses all over north and west Georgia.

Eight years later, in the spring of 2003 My Brother’s Band was shelved, which enabled the Lee brothers to pursue other opportunities. Within the following month, Robbie and Ronnie decided to pull things back together and perform at an open mic Christian event. The acoustic duo took the stage and captivated the audience’s attention. Morning Star recording artists The Duvall Family were also performing later that evening, and approached them about entering the Annual Tri-State Christian Music Talent Search, (sponsored by Morning Star Records.) After inviting Jeff Childs (drums) and Les Barton (bass) into their ranks, the Lee duo formed “House of Thomas”, and blasted into the talent search with all guns blazing. With the inspiring lyrics and melodic guitar riffs of their original song “Nothing”, written by Ronnie Lee, they were ranked among the top three performers in the competition.

Since that time, House of Thomas has continued to perform at coffee houses, church worship services, youth functions and schools, radio station sponsored events and more. They have sold out concerts and continued to bring the gospel of Jesus to audiences through their musical gifts. In addition, House of Thomas has also joined the fight against world hunger by becoming artist associates of World Vision, the largest Christian relief organization in the world. From the stage, they bring an awareness of poverty and world hunger to their audience, and appeal to them to get involved by sponsoring a specific child or family. Through their efforts, children’s lives from all over the world have been changed forever.
