The band was born in Catanzaro in June 2002 earning many from audiences and critics throughout Calabria since from its early performances. The band boasts collaborations with artists of national caliber such as Ricky Portera (guitarist for Lucio Dalla) and Max Cottafavi (guitarist for Ligabue). In October 2009 the band plays on the main stage of "Notte Piccante" in Catanzaro (Italy) after Paul Young, Piero Pelù and Roy Paci & Aretuska. On January 15th 2010 the band presents its first album: "L’Imprevisto" - “The Unexpected” (lyrics and music by Ivan Colacino) at Auditorium “A. Casalinuovo " in Catanzaro. On this occasion Quarto B.R.A. “arranges” the songs of the most important artists of the international musical scene, such as Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix and Zucchero Fornaciari. On May 27th the band is among the five finalists Fru Contest 2010 (Festival of college radio) and performs on stage in Piazza IV Novembre in Perugia. In July 2010, Quarto B.R.A. wins the contest "When you sing your song” with the video for " Fermati un momento" and on July 16th opens Ligabue’s concert at San Siro stadium in Milan.
”L’Imprevisto” “The unexpected”: After six years of music, Quarto B.R.A. needs to translate into songs all its experiences, a bit as if they were photographs of its history. In the album there are eight songs and each song holds memories and the one who listen will be able to adopt them and interpret them, even according to his mood. To make the scene obviously rock, harder when needed, as in "Dietro l’angolo" or "La Domanda di riserva”, and more delicate as in "Fermati un momento" or "Un cuore spento”
The band decides to name the album "The Unexpected", because it is a word with many meanings. The unexpected is an extraordinary event, which you are not prepared to face. No matter what is good or bad, positive or negative because it could change a day or sometimes a lifetime.
