Details:
This album features the talents of six spectacular musicians. I couldn''t limit myself to the standard "One Album - 1 Trio" concept because I have met too many incredibly kind, generous, and talented musicians. I have two trios performing on this album. I am humbled and it is with deep respect that I acknowledge: John Proulx and Peter Smith as the two pianists, Chris Colangelo and Kevin Axt on Bass, Steve Barnes and Jimmy Branly on drums. I thank these fine people and it is an honour to know them.

Here is an abbreviated version of the reason why I chose to create this album at this time in my life:
I came to California from Canada for the Masters Degree program at USC in 2004. I was then approached by the Bob Volbrecht, Choir Director at Tustin Presbyterian Church, to direct their children''s choir. I accepted and then needed a green card. The wheels were in motion; the church was my sponsor, but I also needed an attorney. Not knowing how to hire a lawyer, I chose one in the Yellow Pages. To my horror, the âBeverly Hills attorneyâ turned out to be a crook and not even licensed! He cheated me out of $6,000, did not file the proper paperwork, and I unknowingly became a âcriminalâ on paper with an expired temporary visa after a year. By then, I had made friends who helped me obtain a new lawyer to rectify matters-- at $375 an hour. It took three and a half more years and over $50,000 to fix the mess I was in. After endless information searches, motions, petitions, and paperwork, I earned the right to be here and work, enter competitions, and have a life. On March 19, 2010, I finally received my green card welcoming me to the United States, for which I am so thankful. I spent more than all of my life savings and now have a huge debt to pay off. I couldn''t see my family in Canada for five years and spent holidays alone because I would not have been let back into the US. Don''t get me wrong; it''s an honour to be here and work as a musician in this country. I do plan to become a citizen. To make a jazz CD has always been a dream of mine, and now that dream can help me achieve another dream: to get out from under the mountain of debt. I have worked with the most amazingly talented musicians around, had wonderful donors to the CD project, and I am really happy with the way it turned out, and how I am Now...Here.

The last few years of my life read like some wild work of fiction, but it''s all true. I invite you to read the whole story on my blog. Go to https://www.tradebit.com and click "Blog"
