Evidence has arrived!
With his elaborate word usage, coupled with his "hybrid" southeastern flow over heavy bass lines and crisp hi-hats..."Yeah I Did It" is definitely a smash hit!
When you hear him for the first time, you tend think of a Master P. / Ja Rule mix. Then you hear pure passion in his lyrics and think of Tupac; but as you listen on, you come to realize he certainly has a brand new style...all his own!
"Yeah I Did It" (the album) is that volcano everyone wanted to erupt, so that they could take in all of its fiery beauty! Fueled by textbook hard times and numerous family deaths; has seemed to make Evidence overflow with blazing hot lyrical lava on this one! He gives you a sense of hope, while telling the jarring facts of life; only to befriend you with stories you can relate to.
Born June 14, 1980 in Martinsville, VA where he quickly learned that all things aren''t true, and good things don''t last forever. At the age of 5 years old his mother relocated the family to Louisville, KY in hopes of a better life, what she found was drugs and even more uncertainty. Severely strung out on crack cocaine, she soon abandons her children to fully commit to a drug that consumed her for twenty years. Though times where extremely hard Evidence found refuge in music at an early age. At the tender age of 9 Evidence performed his first show on the stage of Kenwood Elementary in Louisville, Kentucky. From that point on his talents were recognized, not only by himself but friends and family alike. In middle school he wrote his first album named "The 7 Chapters" and was also part of the Lassiter Middle School News team. At Pleasure Ridge Park high school in Louisville, Kentucky his musical talent was requested at almost every party event in and out of school. No wonder he was picked to play lead roles in school plays and named Most Talented for the year of 1999. That same year he joined the army, but that didn''t slow his progress any. Evidence came in runner-up in the highly esteemed "Boss Fort Hood Idol" talent contest. Went to Iraq and won the first "Iron horse Free-style Battle" contest for three consecutive weeks. This compelled him to enter the "VH1 Song of the Year" contest earning him one runner-up spot and a suggested artist spot for the year 2004. It also earned him an article written by Andrew Keese of the "Killeen Daily Herald" and Kelly Hunt of the "Fort Hood Sentinel."
With so much success this early in his music career, there is no doubt that he will be signed to a major record label here in the near future!
