Using inspiration drawn from rainy days spent in London, to the sunny shores of Brisbane Australia, Elation was born.
Travelling between mellow groove and pumping electro beats their diverse catalogue of songs will take you from lounging around to jumping up and down, using a delicious blend of sounds.
Big beats, dirty grooves, melting melodies and memorable song writing form the basis of this 5 piece. Fronted by vocalist Elysia, whose melodic vocals float tantalizingly on the banquet of sounds the boys and their toys create.
Solar Playground is distributed in Australia by Creative Vibes and is licensed to the Nightlife Music Video system in venues across Australia and New Zealand.
With Australian airplay in the dance and pop genres, Elation''s songs stand alone with memorable melodies and also work remixed as dance floor tracks. Driving Away has been remixed as a Basement Jaxx style anthem, a commercial house radio edit, and a breaks remix was released on Creative Vibes annual dance compilation: Evolutionary Vibes Vol 6 in March 2005.

''Let The Wind Blow'' is an airy acoustic guitar-led track underpinned with faint sampled loops and topped with Humphries'' vocals - which certainly recall Dido''s stylings and inflections. There''s some nice Hammond in there too and some clever beat programming towards the end - this is an extremely polished first offering from Elation, and it will be interesting to see what directions they take on their upcoming EP.''
