Singer/songwriter Tim Enright has received accolades from numerous industry insiders including Country Music Legend and Grammy Award winning producer, Lloyd Maines. His talents and music have been compared with the likes of James Taylor, John Mayer, Paul Simon, Allison Krauss and Chet Baker.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Enright was moved around the midwest snowbelt all his life. On his eighth birthday, his mother agreed to let him take guitar lessons after his persistent pleading since age four.
After learning his first three chords, he penned his first song. Knowing that his uncle Pat Enright of the Nashville Bluegrass Band made albums, he pressed his dad to help him get the song recorded and on the radio.
Although the song was never recorded, his passion for writing and guitar continued. Enright spent a short time at Berklee College of Music before graduating from Ball State University with a degree in journalism.
Until recently, Enright has kept a low profile; writing songs and dedicating himself to his family in the small northern Indiana town of Nappanee.
Enright’s songwriting is modestly presented in the solo self-titled release, TIM ENRIGHT, which features 10 of his songs in raw form. It’s an intimate, unedited recording of Enright’s acoustic guitar and vocal performance - one microphone, one take.
