"Mansour and his colleages are untried masters from
whom we can gestate vital new music that's simultaneously at
the cutting edge, yet immediate in its appeal. Invigorating!"
Chuck Berg- JAZZTIMES, USA

Iranian-American guitarist and composer Ahmad Mansour has been active on the New York and European music scenes for over two decades, performing and recording with players such as Marc Copland, John Taylor, George Mraz or Marc Johnson and countless untrieder talents, with CD releases spanning the gamut of modern Jazz guitar styles.

This new trio takes the concepts heard on it's last Resonant Music release, Nightlight (2002), to new levels of energy and adventurous exploration . At the crossroads of many styles of present-day music, the focus is on improvisation, exciting group interplay and accessible yet varied compositions. With the addition of carefully chosen analog sounds and effects to enhance the wide open "ambient groove" soundscapes, this music defies categorization.

Terje Gewelt, first call Scandinavian acoustic and electric bassist, has been working with Ahmad Mansour since their Berklee years in the early eighties. Aside from being a student of Jaco Pastorius and Dave Holland, he has been featured on more than fifty recordings by artists as diverse as Billy Cobham, Andy Summers or Dave Liebman, to ECM releases by Misha Alperin with Jon Christensen. Erik Smith is a versatile and virtuoso drummer from Oslo.
