We started this journey in our home town of Sudan, TX back in 2001, I think. We were originally going to get together and jam some old country tunes at the Sharp family reunion that summer, but it felt good so we kept on going. We played at every jamboree, jamaica, wedding, birthday, dance, anniversary, festival, tribute, celebration, party, grand opening, pig pickin’, and baby shower that would have us… and I think a few that wouldn’t. In the last year and a half or so we started getting some original songs written and arranged and then that seemed like the right thing for us at the time, so we continued to write and hone the songs to what you hear on this CD. We think you’ll like them. We count so many different artists and styles as influencers on our sound that it’s kinda hard to describe who we are sometimes. If you were like us growing up, with Johnny Cash or Waylon Jennings playing in one part of the house and Bad Company or ZZ Top in another, you’ll understand where we’re coming from. We write and play songs that are part of us. Some or most of any song on here might be fictional, but there’s a piece of us, a friend, or a family member in every one of them.
