When starting to record this CD, we chose songs that had helped shape our faith or have been inspirational "favorites" in our lives. It was only after completing recording that we realized the common theme running through many of the songs was a reflection on life after death; the eternal life that awaits, promised to each of us through the resurrection which is the foundation of our faith. An unintentional coincidence or God''s guiding hand working through us? Our belief is there was a plan all along and we are proud to share it with you in "A Closer Walk".
During the process of recording this CD, Friends & Family as a group, began to undergo changes. Significant events such as marriage, college and new careers allowed us to evolve with different "Friends" joining our family of musicians. We are indebted to the talent and commitment of everyone who contributed to this CD; so we could share our faith through music.
All proceeds after manufacturing and royalty expenses from the sale of "A Closer Walk" are being donated to the "People In Need Fund" which provides food, housing and transportation assistance to the needy in the Mankato, MN area. The fund is administered by Centenary United Methodist Church, Mankato.
