This CD is the culmination of many years of creativity and action packed fun working with children! Each of the 17 tracks is an opportunity to move, imagine, sing and dance. This CD is popular in classrooms, cars and homes were children enjoy the magic of music.

Nick Young started teaching music to children while he was still in his early 20’s. In 1998, he used this experience to start a music school for preschool and kindergarten age children called The Young Music Company.

In 2004, Nick created his Rockin’ & a Boppin’ CD and Children’s Concert. This exciting, live children’s music show features a full live band. Thousands of children have experienced this exciting event.

The Young Music Company visits preschool and elementary school programs and offers 30-minute classes. Our music classes quickly became popular as we now offer more than 30 classes per week. We teach at many private schools in Manhattan Beach, Carson, Long Beach, Los Angeles and Orange County. We have hired and trained exceptional teachers. All of our teachers play musical instruments and come to each classroom session equipped with various rhythm instruments, songs, action stories, movement activities, and multicultural experiences for the children. 

The YOUNG MUSIC COMPANY as earned a reputation as "the best in Mobile Music Programs". The key to the success of our program is having children actively involved and engaged during each class session. We use guitar accompaniment, and the children play percussion instruments, learn basic music notation, develop a sense of rhythm and and participate in various movement activities. 
We use songs and activities from various world cultures such as Africa, South America, Asia and others. The songs that we use involve movement and are interactive in nature. 
The percussion instruments that we use are hand made and imported from Africa and other countries. These instruments are part of every session and an integral part of the children’s experience of rhythm and sound. The use of hand made instruments made of natural materials enhance the children’s experience in the music class.

Nick Young has spent many exciting years as a music teacher developing his own original and wonderful music curriculum. Now the culmination of his experience is available in his work-shop: "Children, Natural Musicians". 
" My goal when we complete these seminars is that all the child care providers will have a basic knowledge of how to run a music group with the children in their center. The participants will also have experience in leading the group on their own, creating original stories and activities, etc." -Nick Young

I. Introduction -

II. Lead a music group with the participants - 
A hands-on exploration of what happens in a music group
the participants will sit in group with the instructor and take part in a music group that includes pauses with explanations and tips on the various activities:

maintaining the pulse
singing

“create-it-on-the-spot” songs
percussion instruments
guess by the sound game

tell a story with the instruments
