Details:
Mike''s songs are always forethright, honest and from somewhere deep inside. If you like music that crosses musical boundaries and challenges the listener, then you will dig this 9 song album.

The second album by Mike Freedman features nine songs which take the listener on a musical journey of many musical styles and weaves them into a tapestry of memorable melodies and interesting rhythms.

Mike has successfully produced and captured the essence of the songs along with his six-piece band. Most of the tracks were recorded in home studios and then polished and mixed by the well-respected producer, John Switzer (Jane Siberry)

Mike''s singing is complimented well by the supporting band tracks. One never loses sight of these great songs, while still being captivated by the bands tasteful and interesting arrangements.

Many of the songs written for this album during the last few years reflect Mike''s personal life experiences. The melancholy pop song "No sign of life'' is contrasted with the humorous and disparaging "This Drug", which is a bluesy rock song, as is Going Home With You.

There is a worldly flavour in Open My Heart with its Indian influence. A mix of African and Rock Rhythms is evident in Free and The Light. The album ends off with the song, When You Say You Love Me, influenced by strong jazz elements.
