Formed in 2007 by Tom Mayo (vocalist) , formerly of the rock band Troll, Knightstorm is a New England heavy metal act similar to such acts as Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, Dio, Rainbow, Helloween, Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne. Knightstorm is an evolution of Troll. Tom wanted to take the metal influences Troll had in it''s music and create a more pure heavy metal act, hence Knightstorm was born
