Details:
Launching from the southeast region of the U.S., Days of Junia are a dynamic, post-modern, ensemble bringing a fresh take on the grit of American Alternative Rock. Their music is a blend of Indie Rock sensibility with the moodiness and introspection most often associated with British Alterna-Pop. The new album release in 2011, “Heights of Tomorrow”, will appeal to the casual pop-rock listener, the post-punk ear, and to the restless rock-n-rollers everywhere. Built on the foundation of Rock’s early philosophy, Days of Junia offers a twist on today’s Rock sound that’s unlike what you hear on the radio without being unfriendly to the mainstream listener.
The audience most drawn to the sounds of Days of Junia is the same audience as Kings of Leon, U2, Green Day, Sonic Youth, Three Days Grace, Linkin Park, Weezer, and White Stripes. Days of Junia’s music takes you on a journey of self-discovery through conflict, introspection, doubt, courage, and personal triumph. Like all good art, their music explores both the highs and lows of the human condition as described in the lyrics for the song, Grace, “Living with hate is some strange addiction”.

Days of Junia was created in 2009 as visionary band members Charlie Edward and Joyce Yaddaw realigned their individual music career pursuits to combine talents. Charlie Edward (guitar, vocals), has a history on Indie Labels as an artist and producer. He composed and produced the soundtrack for the cult “B” horror film “The Headhunter”. Charlie also wrote and performed “Live & Unseen”, a unique collaboration of music and live silhouette painting staged on various rooftops throughout Southern California. He was recognized for his work when the Southern California Motion Picture Council awarded him the Bronze Halo for outstanding contributions to the film industry as a singer/songwriter. Joyce Yaddaw (bass, vocals), a long time musician, has played in various regional bands throughout the U.S. She is a multi-instrumentalist with strings and piano. In between projects Joyce took a music hiatus to pursue her passion of sailing tall ships. That time was spent focusing on other instruments, expanding her genre and repertoire.

The bands freshman release, “Heights of Tomorrow” will be available on CD and distribution to major digital formats. The video released for “Hero”, the first single from this exciting new album, utilizes the little known fact that band members know American Sign Language. The album, Co-Produced by Days of Junia and Michael Giancana was recorded in Nashville, TN.
