Graduating as one of the top three high school tenors in the state of Oregon, this born singer-songwriter chose to stay close to his community after earning a degree in Telecommunications from the University of Oregon. Over several decades, Jon penned a hundred songs as a church music director, gradually developing his unique soft rock style. Simultaneously, Jon directed a small non-profit into becoming a statewide leader in promoting the Americans with Disabilities Act. An award-winning writer as well, Jon briefly dipped his toes into the world of Hollywood after winning a statewide screenwriting contest. With the release of "For Christa", Jon is finally melding his music with his passion for social service. Proceeds go to support the non-profit Lane Independent Living Alliance. The music video coming out by January 28th applies Christa''s legacy to the tale of a young woman with a physical disability facing the challenge of making her workplace fully accessible. Note: Videographer James Thomas worked for PBS for five years including with noted director Ken Burns.
Jon is currently working on a humorous and intimate spiritual autobiography which will include links to many of the songs written during his formative years.
