Born on October 31, 1972, Kenny Hwang always had a passion for music. Although he is full-blooded Chinese, his parents were born and raised in Vietnam. He immigrated from Vietnam with his family when he was 5 years old and has been a San Franciscan native ever since. Growing up in the city wasn''t always sunny and bright as he later found out. His youth years were filled with many challenges such as fighting off mental illness such as depression and insomnia. He credits his loving and supportive family in helping him recover through those years. Kenny has always been a musician, learning to play the piano at an early age of 12, but it was later on in life that he fully developed his love for techno music and utilized his skills to create techno music.
Every techno song he''s created has a meaning behind it. For example, his song "No Ego Flies High" symbolizes the humble human within us all. Every song is well thought out and he truly gets his inspiration to create music from within.
Kenny believes that it is through his creation of music that truly helped him get through his ongoing battles with his inner demons.
He usually spends his time in one of the many unique cafes throughout the city sipping on coffee and listening to music. When he is not working on music, he also enjoys making calligraphy art.
He hopes that his listeners will feel the meaning of his songs, be it through the intense beats or the soft lulling of the techno tunes, and that they will enjoy it, where ever the tune may take them, like an adventure!
