Kevin Garrett is a singer/songwriter currently residing in New York City. He studies Music Technology at NYU, but his chief aspiration is to continue to pursue his career as a recording artist. Kevin began writing music at a very young age, thanks to formal training in several different instruments. When his following around his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania grew significantly, Kevin started taking his music even more seriously. Today, Kevin focuses almost all of his time on his music, writing new songs nearly every day.
His first release, “Christmas EP,” featured a group of his favorite Christmas standards with his own flavor added to each song. The EP has seen rave reviews and can be downloaded at: https://www.tradebit.com.
Kevin’s most recent release “Reminds Me Of You,” is his first EP of original music. The five songs on the EP are completely heartfelt and offer interesting messages to the listener. His extensive collection of influences is apparent in his songwriting, giving off a maturity that is surprising for only a 19 year old. Kevin plans on releasing several other EPs in the near future as well, displaying an even more expansive library of influences. In other words, Kevin Garrett is just getting started.
