Nicholas Britell is a film composer, pianist, and producer. His compositions are known for their integration of classical music, jazz, and hip-hop. His recent work includes music for Natalie Portman''s segment in New York, I Love You, and for Portman''s directorial debut short film, Eve, which featured Britell''s solo piano piece,"Forgotton Waltz No. 2." In addition, Britell has scored the documentary Hammer and Cycle, narrated by Sam Waterston, as well as the indy feature, Domino One. He is also known for his work as keyboard player and songwriter in the underground hip-hop band The Witness Protection Program.
