Ruby''s Last Dance (formerly known as 415) started when Tyler Holden (drums) contacted Matt Madoni (Frontman) about playing together. It took a while for us to realize that we needed to formally be a band, but when that happened we both realized what an amazing opportunity this was. We found Mitchell Lessmann (Bass, backing vocals) through an ad, but as soon as he played his first note we knew he was the third band member we needed.
..Matt Madoni (Guitar, Vocals).. – I was introduced to the guitar at age 10, and having been a drummer since age 7, I grew to writing songs immediately. I started writing acoustic folk/rock, but eventually progressed to alternative metal. My love for guitar and music in general brought me naturally in front of the microphone, so I could convey the emotions I write into my songs. To me, there is nothing more important than connecting with people emotionally, and music is how I do that. Music is my life.
..Mitchell Lessman (Bass, Backing Vocals).. – I never played bass guitar in my life until I saw an ad for 415; instead I played electric guitar for 3 years. From the time I got my first guitar I have tried writing songs based on the style of my biggest influences, Iron Maiden and Avenged Sevenfold. I’ve also never sung before but Matt was determined to add me in on vocals. So against my will I will be singing multiple times on live shows as backing vocals. Matt and I approach music at a slightly different angle, so I’m hoping to help diversify our music by mixing the styles of the music we love to play and have fun making.
..Tyler Holden (Drums).. – I’ve been playing since I could barely reach the bass pedal, so that’s about 10 years. I play nonstop. Everyday I play for about an hour by myself then I practice with the band additionally. I also play guitar but am not as good at that as I am at drums. I do not sing. I suck at singing so I guess its good i play drums.
