Lara wanted to transform some of her favorite LDS Hymns into “Hymnsongs”. Solo arrangements that made the Hymns more personal and to sing them in a way that makes the listener feel like they were his or her own. Songs that people could add to their playlists and have in their CD players in their cars to listen to, not just on Sundays, but everyday. Songs that would turn hearts to the Lord and beckon and bring the Spirit of the Lord. Songs that missionaries could use to uplift, comfort, and inspire them. Songs they could use to teach and play at firesides (Which she wants to do all over the world!) and baptisms to help investigators feel and recognize the Holy Ghost. She recognized the great need of LDS music for members and missionaries who speak Spanish and Russian. She had always wanted to serve a mission and this is her way of doing it! Using her talents to bring souls to Christ. She hopes that those who buy her album will share the language discs with non members or missionaries or anyone who would enjoy it. What a great way to share your testimony with a gift a music. Music can touch people’s hearts in a way that words just cannot. The title of this album come from D&C 133:33 “And they shall be filled with Songs of Everlasting Joy.” That’s exactly what these songs do. They fill your heart not just with temporary joy, but with EVERLASTING joy!
