Art grew up in the sixties in Elizabeth, Adelaide. A time of music and amazing fashion brought to Australia by the English who immigrated here. At 14 years old Art was singing in a band with 3 English friends, he didn''t feel he had the same commitment as his compatriots, so he left. What''s strange and compelling is now, some 40 years on Art has come to feel the need to write and sing again about what was deep inside of him, both personal to his experience and reflective of the troubled world he sees around.
His music carries great personal weight and some songs more than others have come from devastating and unhappy periods of his tough life. Music has finally become the vehicle for exorcising many of these demons that he has previously hidden away. It is Art''s hope that his music can inspire and lead others to realise themselves and make a difference in this world.
