Brian Carnes was drumming for The Evergreen Sept and playing guitar for Joe Bagga Doughnuts when he crossed paths with an old school friend, Dylan Thomas. Dylan had been writing poems and was also a lover of many different styles of music. After making some 4 track demos together, Dylan and Brian picked up a drummer and bass player and formed the band Positive Equal. Dylan and Brian still remained the driving musical force behind the music for the 5 years the band was together. After Brian quit, the band fell apart but Dylan and Brian decided to record all the Positive Equal songs before they parted ways. Facing My Fears is their first album; consisting of all of their shorter, bolder songs. Even though they no longer play live, Dylan and Brian still record albums from time to time.
