About The Angel''s Share:
"Bill is a fingerstyle guitarist who creates some of the sweetest creations in instrumental music. His music is all about subtlety and nuance. Listen casually and you''ll be hooked. Listen close and you''ll be wowed." - Wayne Bledsoe, KnoxNews, May, 2010

“ the an-gel’s share ”- the portion of liquid spirits that evaporates during the aging process

“My CDs are like cicadas, they only come along every 8 years or so. The Angel’s Share represents a musical diary that first began in 1963 when I was 11 years old. Having finally acquired my first decent guitar, a red Fender Mustang, I learned the intro to Ray Charles’ What’d I Say . My fate was sealed. The red Mustang is long gone, but in its place is my long time guitar, a 1962 Martin D28, and I’m still playing What’d I Say.
Some of the musical stories here include a ship being tossed around in a Bermuda Triangle storm in Dogs in the Hole, a nod to my east Tennessee dialect in Might Could and Might Should, a requiem for a friend in Don’t Wake the Dogs, a King Sunny Ade inspired Merciful Heanens, a love song in Puppy Love, and a farewell to my Mom in Le Vent et Le Lune (The Wind and the Moon). The guest musicians are Beth Bramhall on accordion and Pete Wasner, Vince Gill’s longtime keyboard player, on Hammond B3.”
