The Hereafter is influenced by Bon Jovi, Guns N'' Roses, Michael Jackson, Def Leppard, REM, U2, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Haydn, Technotronic, 2 Live Crew, Young M.C., Michael Jackson, Contemporary Christian music, DJ Spooky, James Brown, Radiohead, Mash''ta, Aphex Twin, John Cage, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Bob Dylan, Frankie Dunlop, Art Blakey, Roy Hanes, Tony Williams, Elvin Jones, Joey Baron, Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott, Prokofiev, and Thomas Koner (with an um laut over the "o" in Koner). The Hereafter is based in Los Angeles and has played at such famed and infamed venues as The Knitting Factory, Silverlake Lounge, The Whiskey A Go-Go, Room Five, Molly Malone''s, The Mint, M Bar, Zen Sushi, Club Good Hurt and, most affectionately, The Crooked Bar in the old Coconut Teazer. The song "Back Where I Was" was recently featured in an episode of the hit show "Grey''s Anatomy" on ABC, which has exposed The Hereafter to a lot of people (including people who live in Australia). A new, independently released and recorded album will be available in the spring of 2006. Then lots of live dates.
