I have served in a wide range of ministries that have included small, rural churches and suburban churches as well as new church starts. These have included both full-time and bi-vocational situations. I know the heart of a pastor and I know the heart of the local church.
I believe that the local church is the body of Christ and is still dear to the heart of God today. I also believe that God’s heart aches for churches to experience revival and for His world to experience spiritual awakening. Some scripture verses that burn in my mind are Psalms 85:6-7 (NKJV), “Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You? Show us Your mercy, Lord, and grant us Your salvation.”
