Whirks is the debut album from Mash Badley,
consisting of a wide and varied selection of electronica reflecting some of the duo''s musical interests.
Charlie and Craig share many musical tastes and have both been in various regular bands for many years, playing guitar and bass respectively, and are also currently both members of the eclectic rock band Stuntdog.
Being involved in other projects is a large part of the inspiration behind the music, playing and recording with other people and bands creates many new ideas to explore and also new and unique audio samples to chop up and twist into new shapes.
Whirks has a very organic feel and includes many real instruments played by the guys themselves, as well as some inventive audio mangling and sampling from the distinctly odd world around them.

Cats Paw Records New York, who gave us permission to use samples from Hi-Fly on Ray Alexander’s Vigorous Vibes in Wilson blvd.
Thanks to The Alabammer Billy for his vocal talents along with Dr “Mountain John” Stenger (aka The Steng) for use of vocal samples from his songs,
Blended Whisky, Headache and Wild Wild West,
all on Digital Bayou Blues.
