In 1993 the band O.C.D was created when singer D. Ames and guitarist, JJB met after years of paying dues in the clubs of NYC in numerous bands. Each wanting something better they decided to put a project together that would strike an harsh emotional chord. D. Ames, has studied everything from opera to hardcore. JJB gleaned his chops playing a variety of music from metal to jazz/blues. Bassist Laurie Safdie who joined the band in 1995 brought a style of unparalleled aggression to the fray that helped complete their unique NYC Power-Metal sound. The rest has been a wild ride that spans up and down both coasts. O.C.D began working on their third album when renowned producer/engineer Michael Wagener, whose extensive list of credits include Metalica, Ozzy Ozborne, Skid Row, Alice Cooper, Janet Jackson, Extreme and Accept, expressed interest in mixing it. The album which already boasted the considerable talents of producer Mike Barile whose credits include Candiria, All! Out War, and Farenheight 451, and the expertise of drummer Jonathan Mover who has played with the likes of Alice Cooper and Fuel ,was poised to be something more than special. When the recording was finished in New York''s Purple Light Studio and Alien Flyer Studios NYC, O.C.D. brought the raw tapes to Nashville and let Michael Wagener loose to work his magic. After months of effort the disc, which boasts 13 skull crushing tracks, is ready to be marketed. O.C.D. and Concrete Marketing are now awaiting a release date to begin a radio and print advertising promotional push. O.C.D. has recently been fortunate enough to enlist the drumming talents of Serge Pulver, after his European tour with Eternity X. O.C.D. is ready to tour to promote their best CD to date.
