Details:
Amidst an ever-growing sea of singer/songwriters, Weirmier stands apart with his unmistakable gravelly baritone and infectious melodies that you are certain to find yourself humming on the way to the refrigerator at 3 a.m. Bryan’s music resonates with the conviction of an old soul. His songwriting is a unique hybrid of old and new; blending the melodic sensibility and craftsmanship of traditionalists like Lennon and McCartney and Harry Nilsson with the rich lyrical introspection and contemporary edge of artists like David Gray and John Hiatt.

Born and raised on the shore of Georgian Bay in Owen Sound, Ontario, Bryan was intrigued by music from an early age. He began piano lessons at the age of eight and went on to receive a scholarship from the Toronto Royal Conservatory of Music in 1993. Around the same time Bryan was beginning to discover his singing and songwriting ability while he played professionally in rock bands to help support his way through University.

Upon completing a degree in English Literature and Psychology at Trent University, Bryan enrolled in the Music Industry Arts two-year program at London, Ontario''s Fanshawe College. "I wanted to broaden my knowledge of the music business," he says. While at Fanshawe, Bryan won a CMPA (Canadian Music Publishers'' Association Award) for songwriting. It wasn''t long after that Bryan moved to Toronto to pursue his music career.

In 2002, Bryan joined the Canadian Roots Quintet, "Tanglefoot" and has since performed over 400 dates with the band throughout Canada, the U.S. and Great Britain. Performing highlights include CBC''s "Madly Off In All Directions", Canada Day at The Canadian Embassy in London, England and a luncheon for rocket scientists at the NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia. Bryan continues to perform over 100 shows a year with the band and is in demand as a session-player when he''s not touring.

Bryan''s most recent accolade is as Semi-Finalist in the 2005 International Songwriting Competition with his song "How Could I" produced by Jack Richardson (The Guess Who, Alice Cooper, Bob Seger) and recorded by Suzana Da Camara.

The song also appears on Bryan''s 2006 debut release -- a 6 song, self-titled EP mixed and mastered by Scott Lake (Sarah Harmer, Big Sugar). Perhaps one of the most appealing aspects of the album is its relaxed, intimate feel. It goes as equally well with your morning Starbucks as with a glass of merlot at the end of a busy week. Richly simplistic.
