Before The One Project began or even got it''s name, there was a collaboration of a handful of worship leaders connected to Christ Chapel. Chris Chapel is a 16 year old multi site church with 5 campuses all over middle Georgia. Because of the vision of our church and the season we were in, we were able to combine the efforts of 10 very talented, and diverse worship leaders. We teamed up with the Media team of Christ Chapel, Rock Spilt Love Studios, and Bryan Nichols (One Music Inc. President) and began this journey toward a live CD/DVD recording
As soon as the conversation began about doing a live recording CD/DVD, we all began to put in ideas. All of us have done separate projects and recordings, but this kind of collaboration was really in-step with the vision of our church and the dream in our hearts. To write and distribute music that brings hope and creates a desire to make Jesus famous.
The message of this album is clear. A life of worship is the answer. If we could abandoned to God and walk towards his will, not alone but hand in hand with the church, we could shake this world with the love of God! The songs on this recording shout that message loud and clear! Songs like I''m Free by Lucas Woodgeard a rock sound that testify to the chain breaking power of God, or Completely Abandoned by Jimmy Farrell, stripped down to an acoustic guitar and a mic that captures a prayer of surrender.
On a Sunday morning, If you step into any of the Christ Chapels across Middle Ga you will find a different sound and style in each. We brought together a very diverse group and that diversity translates into the sound on this CD/DVD.
We recently released the CD version of this recording on Dec 3rd. .The One Project family along with many others from our churches and throughout macon met at Joshua Cup for night of celebration and Worship. Four of the worship leaders on the album led the group in a few familiar songs and ended the night with a few on the album. It was really cool to hear our fans and support singing these songs at the top of there lungs. There was such a tender spirit in the room and the night was a confirming token to the One Project family that this is the will of God for us.
