Details:
Jeneé Fleenor was born and raised in Springdale, AR but has called Nashville, TN her home since 2001. She started playing classical violin at the age of three, began fiddling at the age of five, and started singing in church choir not long after. Growing up playing at festivals, talent shows and fiddle competitions, and loving being in the studio, it isn’t surprising that within a couple of weeks after moving to Nashville she was quickly hired by country music hit-writer Larry Cordle to play and sing harmony in his bluegrass band, Lonesome Standard Time. She knew her dreams were coming true when she made her first appearance on the Grand Ol’ Opry with Larry Cordle & LST only a month after moving to Nashville. After touring and recording with his band for a year, Jeneé was called to audition for country music star Terri Clark. She toured with Terri for seven years, and you will also find her name in the liner notes of Terri''s latest records. In January of 2010 Jeneé was given the opportunity to play fiddle, mandolin, acoustic guitar, and sing background vocals with country music superstar, Martina McBride. You can currently see Jeneé on tour with Martina. While touring with such great artists, Jeneé has played the Grand Ol’ Opry countless times, played TV shows like Good Morning America, The View, CMA Awards, ACM Awards, CMT Crossroads, and many other national television appearances.

Jenee''s gift of music has afforded her the opportunity to record and write with some of Nashville''s best musicians and songwriters. Founded on her impressive resume, Jeneé is charging forward developing her own performing and songwriting career with the 2010 release of her new EP: Listen To The Woman. This album showcases her well-refined musicianship, top-notch vocals, and hit-writing abilities. Featured on her EP is her own version of a song she co-wrote, entitled “I Am Strong.” This song was recently recorded by the Grammy nominated bluegrass band, The Grascals, who joined with an all-star cast of country music singers (Dolly Parton, Joe Nichols, Terri Clark, Darryl Worley, Randy Owen, Charlie Daniels and even Steven Seagal, to name a few) to sing on the song. The song was inspired by a friend of Jeneé''s who has childhood cancer, and also by the kids of St. Judes. You will find The Grascals version of the song on an exclusive Cracker Barrel record titled The Grascals and Friends, that will be in released January 2011, along with a music video that will be released to CMT and GAC.

Jeneé not only has a way of lighting up the stage, but she takes from her many years of stage and studio experience to capture your attention on record. Her vocals are no-doubt country with a dash of soul and grit mixed in. Her incredible fiddle playing you not only will hear, but you will feel it. Her musicianship goes much deeper than a bunch of notes strung together. Whether it''s a song she has written or a heart-felt fiddle solo, Jeneé Fleenor will keep you on the edge of your seat. You will be glad that you took the time to Listen To The Woman.
