Daniel "Skip Grandz" Brown born February 13, 1983 in Emmetsburg, Iowa. However he now calls Minneapolis his home. Grandz began writing 2 bar rhymes and catch phrases on scratch paper and eventually started writing song after song and bar after bar. Grandz has a story to tell and he pays homage to the legends of hip hop throughout his tracks. Grandz influences are artists such as: Pac, Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane and Biggie. Through his lyrics Grandz takes you with him on his real life experiences having traveled all over the world as well as delving into his psychedelic bud smoking trances.

Grandz has definitely made his presence known in this game he was nominated for 2 Awards at The 5th Annual Twin Cities Hip Hop Awards the categories are: TC Most Slept On and Mixtape of the year for “I M Legend”.
