DC Hip-Hop Artist, Laelo Hood, Releases New Full Length Project Entitled “F**k The World”
JANUARY 4st, 2011
Inner Loop Records recording artist and leader of the HD Life movement, Laelo Hood, has been paving his lane in the DC hip-hop scene for over a decade and is now prepared to take his movement global. With the help of world-renowned DJ Dub MD, he''s prepared to release his second full length project entitled "F**k the World." This project is a direct reflection of Laelo Hood’s world over the past few years.
The album will be released by Dub MD Promotions and The High Definition Society under the Inner Loop Records imprint. The project includes a bevy of collaborations with supremely talented artist including the likes of Maimouna Youseff, Akir, K-Beta, Midian, Alison Carney and XO, just to name a few. Production credits include J-$crilla, Bad Abbot, DJ Soundtrax,
Theory, E-Minah, Hec Dolo, Draus, Decompose, Kobiyashi, Soulful and Slimkat.
With its soulfully epic sounding production and deeply intrusive and thought provoking lyrics, this project is sure to win Laelo the hearts and ears of thousands and very possibly even millions around the world. The first street single called “Trust Nobody” was release on November 11th and the single “Where I Belong” was released mid December. Both records definitely put the streets on alert that Mr. Hood is ready to take his rightful place in the game.
The next single from this project is titled “Fooling Myself.” This joint is a Bad Abbot produced autobiographical tale of multiple situations in Laelo’s life. The song will also be released alongside the second promotional video for the project which was shot and directed by Langston Sessoms. Other probable singles include the DJ Soundtrax produced title track, “F**k the World,” “Hooked on You” featuring Maimouna Youseff, and a joint production by Slimkat & Draus featuring Pro’Verb & Lyriciss appropriately called, “Cool.”
The project will be released as a free download but will also include a link to purchase the album via various online marketplaces.
