Details:
The first two pieces are based on a Debussy style trio- flute,viola, and harp. They are tentatively the second and fourth movement of a larger work " Transcendental Landscapes".
The third piece, is from the work- "In Aphrodite''s Secret Garden" The fourth movement is featured in my first album " Buffalo Spirit".
The fourth and fifth piece''s are from my string quartet "The Potential of Man"
The last piece" The Taming of Olympus Mons", is based on a homework assignment that I did in May of 2010. I liked the music I wrote for it so much, that I was inspired to expand the work. I always wanted to write a piano concerto, so I dove in. It took me about three months to write it. I wanted to return to my dissonant roots- but with more control over the harmonies, some of which, was based loosely on jazz harmonies. I tentatively have an idea for at least, another movement.
I would like to thank my sister, Monica, for all her support, and the rest of my family, as well. I would like to thank Mario and Lauron, for all their support, they have given me, over the summer.
