Meeting whilst working on the Sydney band Circuit, the group commenced freeform jamming for fun. Song ideas were picked out from the recording, and on the 1st of April 2010, The three Wise Monkeys released there Debut EP, with a gig at the Annandale. Getting to the task of promotion, the Monkeys quickly became regulars on the Sydney Indie scene, winning over unsuspecting audiences, with their fusion of well crafted instrumental songs.
After a Winter Alpine Tour of the Perisher Valley in July 2010, The Monkeys headed back to the studio August to cut their 2nd Ep, featuring the long awaited recording of Waxer, the set opener of their live shows and a crowd favourite.
EP no. 2 also featured the Hidden Track "Sex Tape" at the end of the EP. A limited Edition CD featuring both EP''s and some bonus Live tracks is also available at iTunes. Physical Copies of Both Products have been Exhausted.
The final part of 2010, saw 3WM head to the studio again to record their first full length album. Recorded over two sessions, one in September and the other in November, the title and design for the release was becoming a problem.
November 2010 saw the release of the 3WM iPhone APP. The Ultimate portal to access 3WM media content. After much discussion about the future of physical Media and the development of mobile media, it was decided to launch future 3WM product on an iPhone APP. The app features, songs, photos, videos, as well as social networking for 3WM fans.
With some December dates coming up, and after being inspired by a Beatles Documentry, the RED Album was Born and delivered Just in time for Xmas. The album featuring a RED cover with no writitng, came out of the frustration of design, and time delays of releasing both Physical and download products. A limited number of Physical Copies of the RED album were produced and were given away Free to Audience members after the Dec 9 Bull n Bush Show as a Little Xmas Gift.
The Red album features some unique original material, as the monkeys continually evlove through Jamming. The highlight of the Album is the Bass riff in Shamozal, displaying the depth of talent of Alex King. The Album also features a new recording process for the Monkeys, which has produced some of the most transparent recordings to date.
The December 9 gig is also first collaboration with Film Producer Simon Giles. Footage from the performance, was edited to produce 3WM first Live Album, FIVE LIVE, which has been released direct to YouTube for the Fans as an extra Xmas Present. The footage features the 5 song set 3WM performed.
Live demand continues for 3WM in 2011, with the band kicking off 2 shows in January and 3 in Feburary. The band is Currently organising its first Interstate Tour to Victoria and hope to touch some new Fans in March. Stay tuned........

Kypo: Having won the Best guitarist at the Gippsland Battle of the bands, Kypo has established a career as a working guitarist. The Three Wise Monkeys, gives Kypo the opportunity to write and perform his passion, Fusion Music. Following in the footsteps of his influences including, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Steve Morse and Mark Knopfler, focussing on song structure rather than shred. Renowned for his tone and monster rigs.
Currently playing Ulbrick Amps through Achillies Boxes, and a myrid of effects controlled by a Tc Electronics G System. Guitarwise, Kypo has traditionally played custom made Fenders, though recently has aquired a Peter Frampton Gibson Les Paul, and a EVH Wolfgang, which have both found their way into the 3WM set.
Alex King: Bass Player Extrodinaire, Alex gradated from Nirimba Tafe and has become an in demand player on the Sydney Scene. Heavily influenced by the virtuouso playing styles of Victor Wooten, Primus and Flea, Alex has perfected his own style which includes a variety of techniques, from slapping, to two handed arpeggio tapping. The Monkeys sees Alex unleash an unbridled steak of creativity, chops and precision,
Alex uses David Edan amps, Speakers and Fender bass Guitars.
Liam Chandler: at 17, Liam who the Billy Hydes Open competition in 2008, and since has become the Hottest young drummer on the scene. Heavily inflenced by the playing styles of Thomas Pridgen, and benny Greb, Liam is the choice drummer for many acts around Sydney, and you''ll find him playing to 6000 people at the Entertainment centre. In the Monkeys, Liam gets to unleash his amazing grasp of his instrument, and creativity. Pushing the boundries of groove and syncopation.
Liam plays a Pearl Reference Kitt with Paiste Cymbals.
